Use the Update Manager utility to install the hotfix packages that you receive for PRPC 5.5 and 6.x. The Update Manager Hotfix Installer ensures that hotfixes are installed in the right order and protects you from overwriting more current hotfixes. In addition, the Update Manager System Scanner determines which hotfixes are already properly installed on your system. You may also review the complete rule manifest affected by each hotfix. If you are running a PRPC version earlier than 5.5, continue to use your existing hotfix-installation process. Each target instance of PRPC must have the correct version of Update Manager installed and use the correct hotfix catalog. One catalog exists for Version 5 releases and another catalog exists for Version 6 and Version 7 releases. The Update Manager is integrated into the Designer Studio in PRPC Version 6.x.
