- I have been able to successfully view (run, execute, or generate) reports, based on Oracle 12c (12.1 and 12.2), and using the client-side ActiveX viewer provided by Crystal Reports 11.5 R2 (11.5.12.1838), by installing ODAC 12.1 Release 1 32-bit, on the client computer.
Symptom
How can I install ActiveX Crystal Report Viewer for Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7??? Because whenever we try to take a report, IE8 asks for installing ActiveX Crystal Report Viewer Application. You only need to register the DLLs that are not provided by the OS. For Crystal 11 (XI Release 1) the commands to register the DLLs are. I am developing window form application using VS2008 and try to view report with Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer 11_5(Support Khmer Unicode). When runtime i need to change datasource of report as Bui. Before I used IE 9 and I don't have any problem with my Crystal Report ActiveX viewer. But when I upgraded to IE 11, I can no longer view my report. I'm using Windows 7 SP 1 64 bit. When using the reportSourceRouter object as the ActiveX viewer's reportsource, when you export a report, the following error message appears:
